What to Expect

  • A sense of safety, respect and compassion: You will never be forced to discuss or work on things that you do not want to.

  • My approach is a collaborative, rather than an authoritarian, one: Therapy is fundamentally a connection and sharing of knowledge between two people with different sets of expertise.

  • Attention is given to the therapeutic relationship for this is what enables deep exploration and transformation of past wounds and current struggles.

  • Emotional experience rather than intellectual awareness is what heals and changes us.

              Expect to feel deeply, perhaps cry with sadness or rage 
              with anger.

             Expect also to laugh and to remember your strengths: 
             they are what have brought you to the place and moment 
             you are at now.
